Seek the Balance between Art and Business
--陈逸鸣：在艺术和商业间寻找着一种平衡

　　When the reporter enters Chen YiMing’s studio at the invitation of him, the first sight is “her” who is looking herself in the mirror. That kind of beauty makes me suddenly feel my lack of words and sincerely feel the verve of his pen. There is a certain flatus filled in the air; the soft light can unexpec-tedly refract the vigor. I think that is the push of art charm, which makes me get lost at once. Sitting to talk in detail, I find most of the women are a bit of sadness and somewhat unwillingness in his pictures. These women extremely resemble the sad leading characters in Zhang AiLing’s novels. As the saying goes: “Art is a manifestation of the artist.” So I further ask him: “Do you have some feelings in your life?” Chen YiMing frankly answers that his life experiences aren’t so smooth, but he doesn’t give up the pursuit of drawing all the time.

　　正当街头火树银花，万家灯红酒绿的圣诞佳节即将来临之即，笔者应邀来到中国已故著名画家陈逸飞的胞弟——陈逸鸣先生的画室，当记者推开位于上海泰康路的陈逸鸣工作室大门，满室的油画作品顿时让人仿佛置身于艺术的殿堂。不大不小的房间，简单的摆设，到处可见的画笔和油彩，还有那一幅幅撩人心动的油画，这里就是艺术家陈逸鸣先生工作的画室。说句心里话，当我走到门口时，我还在迟疑自己是否找错了地方，直到他的出现。
　　走进画室，首先映入眼帘的便是照镜子的“她”；那种美丽使我顿感词藻的匮乏，由衷地感触到那笔尖上的神韵。空气中弥漫着某种气息；心静，柔和的光线竟折射出活力……我想那就是艺术魅力的感召，让我瞬间迷失了。坐下来细谈，更发现他笔下的女子多有一丝轻愁，几分无奈，像极了张爱玲小说中幽怨的主角。
　　常言道，画如其人，“是否你在生活中也有一些感触？”我追问着，陈逸鸣坦言自己的生活经历并非一帆风顺：身为67届初中毕业生，1968年开始务农，1975年进入长江航运管理局，从基层干到工会，1979年参加戏剧学院油画班培训，1981年追随兄长陈逸飞来到美国，1985年才得以静下心来创作，1987年办了第一个画展，一举成名，1990年与美国著名的汉默画廊签约至今。淡淡的言语简单地勾勒出复杂的心路历程，但他始终没有放弃的是对绘画的执着。
